These photographs record my history taking photos with a 50mm lens. The black and white photographs were taken in 1966/67 on my first serious camera - a Praktica IV and it had a humble Meritar on it that actually performed really well and allowed me to enlarge to 20 inches by 16 inches at times using Adox KB14. Moving forward to 2025 the colour photos are taken with a Leica M11 fitted with a 50mm f2 Apo Summicron. Here the Praktica has captured a bridle path close to the house in which I spent the first 11 years of my life, this was taken when I was 18.
