Florence Colliery from Cocknage Wood - 1967

Notes

These photographs record my history taking photos with a 50mm lens. The black and white photographs were taken in 1966/67 on my first serious camera - a Praktica IV and it had a humble Meritar on it that actually performed really well and allowed me to enlarge to 20 inches by 16 inches at times using Adox KB14. Moving forward to 2025 the colour photos are taken with a Leica M11 fitted with a 50mm f2 Apo Summicron. This was taken from a local woodland called Cocknage Wood looking at Florence Colliery with the town of Longton behind.
