These photographs record my history taking photos with a 50mm lens. The black and white photographs were taken in 1966/67 on my first serious camera - a Praktica IV and it had a humble Meritar on it that actually performed really well and allowed me to enlarge to 20 inches by 16 inches at times using Adox KB14. Moving forward to 2025 the colour photos are taken with a Leica M11 fitted with a 50mm f2 Apo Summicron. This is a local supermarket at night.
I looked at some of my apo lanthar photos at f2 and wanted to see how well this Nokton 1.2 II performed at f2 compared to the apo lanthar.<br />
